  • FILL THE PAGE! No tiny drawings!

Sketch 2: Color Value/Shading

TUTORIAL - Value Scale Object or Scene:

  • CREATE YOUR OWN DESIGNS.

  • Keep in mind shading techniques. Around the wheels should have some shadows.

  • You do not have to include a background, BUT your skateboards MUST FILL THE PAGE!

Sketch 4: Imagination

Magic Paint

  • Create a tube of paint that contains "magic" paint.

  • Draw a tube of paint with "paint" pouring out.

  • Your paint should be a scene. No solid colors, this is magic paint.

Sketch 6: Texture

TUTORIAL - How To Draw A Realistic Chipmunk:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQoNE2oj03I

  • FILL THE PAGE! - The chipmunk should be as big (if not bigger) as the tutorial.

  • BACKGROUND - Once the chipmunk is complete create a background. Inside a rough tree? In the soft grass? On a leafy limb? Surfing? Riding a broom stick? Be creative!

  • Sketches should be colored. If you only want the background to be like the tutorial where the background is partially blue (or whatever color you choose), that is fine.

Sketch 7: Christmas

  • For this sketchbook assignment all classes will be doing a religious sketch for possible acceptance in the Christmas bulletin for church.

  • You will be drawing YOUR OWN ORIGINAL religious sketch. You are welcome to look at the Christmas cards for inspiration or watch a YouTube tutorial.
